There was a small earthquake in Minnesota yesterday,in Douglas County I believe;
although less than 3 on the seizmic scale,it is rare. It is hard to imagine the fault line, and that is about it for my reaction. But it might lead me to some research,in particular the picture of things underneath us...

Woke up this morning with a stiff neck,I think the unusual position I fell asleep in has
had something,if not everything,to do with this pain; but the outcome for the time-being points to a cranky personality...I bought three paperbacks at the thriftstore immediately after lunch, and drove back to the apartment...

For a instant to imagine a person without hope.Where is this person? Why do I refer
to him as a person, for that matter? Of course we shall find him all over, anywhere.Alright,so perhaps I might draw this point out a little by declaring it
to be an excercise, for times when depression falls in our way. As if the living encounters brought us to a level where a series of anxieties troubled our feelings;something like hope is called for then. But after all this life here below, doesn't unreservedly include the attendance of this hope...

A later addition: let us be aware that in America the politics, foreign and domestic alike, cut a wide and generous swathe. Because? Well I'm behind the times and find myself forced to regard the so-called generosity and bigness in general to crack
the idea's skin...(from sometime in the 1970's) Probably 75...

But in a Van parked on the southside
of Jevnaker hard enough to picture, almost unthinkable
despite the available words. So shortsuited this hand;
cards that I am sorry were dealt to me this hand; yet
a very keen example of my 17mile corner collection

For I've taken dream extracts also, which suggests I'm still
close to that Personal unconscious, within a stone's throw
of a id entirely consumed by traffic moving in every quarter...

So fine a product the marketplace seldom sees...

You can frequently estimate the age of a farmstead by a study of its Silo alone...

It should be said that in the Nineteen forties quite a number of silos were put up,
the war years increased demand and there was extra money for such constructions.

Let's allow ourselves a generous interval in which to become sounder, before exposing our savage parts overall to the light of day...

The river has started to fall too so this is a very encouraging sign. The Redriver of the North. But farther north the water continues to flood areas that haven't seen
standing water like this for decades. According to one witness who was at least 70...
A heap of scraps: a good description of my rooms, but they are inedible...
Before whom? A sure thing and warwhoop Refreshing sirs...
Teasing never fails to leave the important things out of the picture...
The crazier shout out faced with this el squeezo defacto
And did you happen to see my goilfriend?

An Eighties flashback: thinking about 10-4,from CBradio usage; that is almost an
uncritical take (as it were) of waiting around for semiloads to show up; an overanxious heart pressing the will and twisting the ego into a tangled localese.
But I haven't rewritten very much from that era...It would be unfair to rewrite my
journal anyhow, and still I often make the attempt, without understanding the motive...Nevertheless the economy of that period deposits a number of exotic lures
barely covered by a seam of literate clay...
Some might refer to this as a format for progress backfiring...

Poems for a private life

Fraught already with freight On an avenue made in Japan

So recollection isn't a homemade remedy for multicultural dicta gulps

Factors Jack, not tractors that sit all by themselves in poorly cultivated peace
gardens...

Green peas you remember were favorites in our land before the revolution...
April 1oth bit parts and pieces: (from brief solitaries) To ward off the tendency to
exaggerate problems, and make solutions believably convincing...
1. Isn't there always a number 1?
2. Wagers and risks go together in a file by themselves...
3. Friends and neighbors seldom understand a writer's doldrums...
4. Fact finding trips...Blending news or rather the items people develop into parts
and places which fall under the headlines...Sudden spells, obvious spills, generous
helpings and furious debates. Advertising for fastfoodplaces which have turned
into coffeeklatches...Unintended consequences

The river must be nearcresting. But I was just over by the river and 2 of the 3 bridges
are open. In open country there are large tracts of land underwater, sheets of water
mainly, although I saw deep water in places north of Fargo, almost level with the
southbound lane,from Argusville south.
On the face of the glacier,on a slant going nowhere...The eyes leave their lucid parts...This is the feature that I want to do my best in...Using rank and file inwardly, toward discoveries of terms...Sleepiness takes over such deformed articles.Fountains inside icebergs.

In the middle of this regenerated blog start-up I abruptly went on a fishingtrip to Lake of the Woods; we walked out on the ice at LongPoint, straight out from the Public access. But the catching was slow. The southshore can be that way; but I managed to catch a nice walleye and a decent sauger,so I think the trip ought to be considered something of success; in particular since the rainclouds came out of the
south and drove us off the lake around 3PM...

In the clear maybe...He looks like a speechmaker...Something unbuttoned,or without
buttons...Unhappy unpleasant unsophisticated...Unhinged and about to rewrite the
notes on the minimum of changes...Would-be improvements...Since dropping Cable
the freetime allotment...Did I actually write it out that way the 1st time...Word
processing...In more than one way...Frontpageschlock...

I hear that Jake is reading more now that he has dropped Cable!
